Multiple State Parks Close to New Visitors After Reaching Capacity
A number of state parks in Connecticut have closed to new guests after reaching capability on the Fourth of July.
The next state parks at the moment are closed:
- Bigelow Hole State Park in Union
- Black Rock State Park in Watertown
- Burr Pond State Park in Torrington
- Gardner Lake State Park in Salem
- Hammonasset Seaside State Park in Madison
- Indian Properly State Park in Shelton
- Millers Pond State Park in Haddam
- Mount Tom State Park in Litchfield
- Rocky Neck State Park in East Lyme
- Sherwood Island State Park in Westport
- Stratton Brook State Park in Simsbury
- Squantz Pond State Park in New Fairfield
- Wadsworth Falls State Park in Middletown
The Fourth of July will characteristic sunny skies and temperatures within the low-to-mid 80s throughout the state.
Any parks that shut on Monday are anticipated to reopen to new guests on Tuesday.
