2 Shelton Residents Win Big Lottery Prizes
SHELTON, CT — Two Shelton residents are $10,000 richer after purchasing winning lottery tickets at area businesses, according to the Connecticut Lottery.
On Jan. 11, one resident purchased a winning “10X™ Cash 17th Edition” ticket at Jds Wines and Spirits in Shelton and won $10,000, according to the Connecticut Lottery.
That same day, another resident purchased a winning “$2,000,000 MEGA MULTIPLIER” ticket at Cumberland Farms #4731 in Bridgeport and won $10,000, according to the Connecticut Lottery.
The CT Lottery furnishes winner information as public record.
The Connecticut Lottery only publishes names of people who win $10,000 or more, which officials claim is quite common.

House destroyed after fire in Tolland
Fire crews were dispatched to Bonair Hill Rd for a structure fire around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
When they arrived, the single-family home was fully involved, according to Town Manager Brian Foley.
Foley said in a post on Facebook that an adult male was outside on the property in serious medical distress and was transported to Rockville hospital. He also mentions that several family members got out safely and were staying at a neighbor’s house.
The home was completely destroyed, and the town staff and Red Cross are working to ensure the displaced family has access to any needed services, Foley said.
Local CT State Fire Marshals are on scene investigating the incident.

Dave Matthews Band announces Connecticut show
HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) – Dave Matthews Band’s U.S. tour will make a stop in Connecticut this summer.
The band scheduled a show for July 25, 2026 at The Meadows Music Theatre in Hartford, Live Nation announced on Tuesday.
The band’s tour starts on June 10 in New York and wraps up Labor Day weekend in Washington State.
Online ticket presale for members of the DMB Warehouse Fan Association started Tuesday at 9 a.m.
General on sale for tickets begins on Friday, Feb. 20, at 10 a.m. Check out LiveNation.com for more.
