Drake brings out Jayson Tatum during concert in Boston Celtics arena
In Boston, Jayson Tatum is considered basketball royalty. Throughout the world, Drake is considered a music legend.
Naturally, with the rapper visiting Beantown as part of his tour, the two had to link up at TD Garden. The NBA scoring machine walked down the stadium steps with the rap star while “Look What You’ve Done” played over the speakers; a subtle nod to what Tatum has accomplished in so little time.
More footage surfaced of Tatum dancing in one of the boxes while “Way 2 Sexy”, a hit by Drake and Future, played in the background. It’s safe to say the Celtic is enjoying his time off from basketball at the moment.
Kings of the Rap and Basketball Game
Drake is currently on his “It’s All a Blur Tour”, which is promoting the Canadian rapper’s joint album with 21 Savage, “Her Loss”. The album ranked 8th on Complex’s The Best Albums of 2022 list.
Tatum is enjoying the offseason, with the 2023-2024 NBA season not set to get going for another few months. The 25-year-old is coming off the best season of his career, having averaged over 30 points per game.
An ankle injury soured the final postseason series for Tatum in which his Boston Celtics lost to the Miami Heat in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals. He’s expected back to lead Boston and is recruiting other stars to join him.
