Alvarez, who advised CNN he solid a poll for McKinley, described the West Virginia Republican backed by West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice and Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin as “extra progressive,” and described his vote as “anti-Alex Mooney.” 

“I don’t assume he’s a West Virginian, and I don’t assume he’s voted on behalf of West Virginia,” Alvarez stated of Mooney. 

Although Alvarez appreciates that Manchin has been “fiscally accountable,” and thinks he has “executed an excellent job,” he stated Manchin’s endorsement within the race didn’t play a job in his choice making course of. 

Likewise, Barbara Campbell, a 72-year-old retired trainer who lives in Charles City, stated schooling was the difficulty that drove her to the polls Tuesday. Campbell want to see smaller class sizes, particularly in elementary faculties, she stated. 

Although she didn’t share who she voted for, Campbell stated that the excessive profile endorsements within the congressional main did “not likely” play a job in her choice making course of and have been “neither right here nor there.”
