The Wisconsin Badgers men’s college basketball team will play host in its penultimate regular-season Big Ten game on Thursday against the Rutgers Scarlett Knights in Madison.
The Badgers fell short of expectations this season, putting up a decent enough record overall and just above average in conference play, but not enough to make waves on the national scene. Wisconsin has lost two in a row and three of its last four and is in dire need of some course correction before the conference tournament.
The Scarlet Knights sit near the bottom of the Big Ten standings at 7-11 and a mediocre 15-14 mark overall. Rutgers lost its last game as well and has won just one of its last five tries as the campaign mercifully comes to a close.
