US picks top prosecutor for South Dakota
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) – South Dakota federal courtroom officers have appointed a U.S. legal professional who will serve till the place is stuffed by a presidential nominee.
Alison Ramsdell was sworn in as prime federal prosecutor on Thursday and began the job on Friday. She first joined the workplace in 2014 as an assistant U.S. legal professional and has led the district’s civil division since 2016.
Ramsdell replaces Dennis Holmes, who introduced his retirement earlier this week.
Ramsdell obtained her bachelor’s diploma from Valparaiso and her regulation diploma from the College of Iowa. She lives in Flandreau together with her husband and two sons.
