South Dakota State Patrol identifies 2 people who died after a pickup truck collided with a train

The South Dakota State Patrol has recognized the 2 individuals who died after a pickup truck collided with a prepare close to Harrisburg.

The Patrol mentioned Sunday that Jennifer Torgerson, 45, and Kaylee Torgerson, 12, each died on the scene of the crash a few mile south of Harrisburg Wednesday night. The truck’s driver, Philip Torgerson, 44, of Harrisburg, sustained life-threatening accidents and was flown by helicopter to a Sioux Falls hospital.

Authorities have mentioned Philip Torgerson was driving west, however did not yield on the railroad crossing and collided with the prepare. He might face costs, however the State Patrol remains to be investigating.
