South Dakota State Parks feature free fishing weekend
CANTON, S.D. (KCAU) — South Dakota’s state parks featured free park entry and free fishing over the weekend, with no fishing license required.
Newton Hills State Park had a number of campers be a part of them for a soothing weekend with some fishing.
“We do that to attempt to introduce fishing to everyone, attempt to introduce the state parks to everyone,” mentioned District Park Supervisor Jason Baumann, “We wish to make it accessible to everyone, and actually see what there’s to supply, and hopefully they’ve enjoyable, have a lot enjoyable they arrive again.”
Baumann indicated that the park has massive trails, a horse camp, bike leases, a film evening, and weekend applications.
“We meet so many individuals, we’re all right here for a similar motive and that’s to get away from life and have enjoyable,” Bauman added.
