One injured in crash on I-229

One individual was critically injured following a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 229 Thursday afternoon in Sioux Falls, in response to the South Dakota Freeway Patrol.

The 16-year-old male driver of a 2007 Subaru Legacy was touring northbound on I-229 close to mile marker three and tried to go a 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup and one other car round 3:15 p.m., in response to Tony Mangan, a spokesperson with the Freeway Patrol. The Subaru hit the passenger entrance facet of the Dodge, went into the median and rolled throughout the southbound lane, ending within the ditch.

The Legacy began on hearth and was shortly extinguished, in response to Mangan.
