Man Accused of Causing Double Fatality Crash, Fleeing
WAHPETON, N.D. (AP) — A South Dakota man is going through costs of leaving the scene of a double fatality crash after his pickup rear-ended a bike with two folks aboard in southeastern North Dakota.
The North Dakota Freeway Patrol mentioned the crash occurred at 11 p.m. Saturday on a freeway about 6 miles west of Hankinson and 6 miles east of Lidgerwood.
The 2 folks on the motorbike, a 45-year-old man and 40-year-old lady, died on the scene. Each of them are residents of Wyndmere, North Dakota.
The patrol mentioned the pickup driver, a 41-year-old man from Veblen, South Dakota, fled on foot and was apprehended a number of hours later. He was not injured within the crash.
The suspect has not been formally charged with fleeing. The patrol says different costs are attainable as soon as the investigation is full.
