Northeast Ohio weather: Unsettled start to the workweek
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Morning fog will give way to cloudy to mostly cloudy skies with scattered afternoon showers and breezy winds.
Sunday will start off dry and mild, but we will see changes starting in the afternoon into the evening.
There is a chance, especially in far northeast Ohio, for isolated thunderstorms as we head into the afternoon.
There’s a small threat that the strongest storms could produce damaging winds with small hail, although most of us will just have on and off showers throughout the day and into the early evening.
Overnight, a drop in temperatures and a shift in the winds behind our cold front will lead to lake effect rain/snow into Monday morning mainly along the lakefront.
This looks to be a rain or rain/snow mix so it does not look like we will have any accumulation.
Chances for precipitation will linger into Tuesday with only a chance of lake effect rain/snow mix overnight Tuesday into Wednesday.
The winds shift again mid-week and as high pressure takes control of our weather pattern, we will see a couple of drier days with temperatures climbing back into the mid to upper 40s to low 50s by the end of the week.
