North Dakota’s Ethics Fee is withdrawing its request for an lawyer normal opinion associated to its authority to analyze violations of state legislation for which the board has not adopted a rule.
The board had made its request in June. Fee Chairman Paul Richard on Wednesday stated language in state authorities ethics legislation “has answered the query that we requested.”
Assistant Legal professional Common Allyson Hicks stated, “No person is increasing any authority. What we’re saying is that we’re going to look at the processes in state legislation that exist already because the fee works by these areas to find out the place the fee suits in there.”
