NWS Confirms Weak Tornadoes in Kansas, Nebraska
The Nationwide Climate Service has confirmed a sequence of weak tornadoes throughout rural components of northwestern Kansas and a county in southwestern Nebraska alongside the Kansas line.
The tornadoes hit Tuesday afternoon as a line of storms moved throughout the Plains. Spotters and video confirmed separate tornadoes in Decatur, Norton and Gove counties in Kansas and an one in Pink Willow County in Nebraska, in response to Nationwide Climate Service meteorologist Ed Holicky primarily based in Goodland, Kansas.
There have been no stories of accidents or injury from the tornadoes, Holicky stated.
The system introduced gusty winds, heavy rain and a few hail, resulting in downed tree limbs some roof injury throughout the area.
