Audio: Former prisoners claim neglect and mistreatment by Missouri Dept of Corrections
A person says he misplaced each of his legs as a result of mistreatment by the Missouri Division of Corrections.
At a listening to Tuesday evening, some ex-cons and their advocates appeared earlier than the Missouri Home Particular Committee on Legal Justice. James Naugles served 22 years in jail and claims the lack of his legs after a spider chew is because of medical negligence on the DOC. The division denies the claims, however Naugles says there must be extra oversight.
