Willmar woman injured in crash with semi near Lake Lillian, Minnesota
LAKE LILLIAN TOWNSHIP — A 19-year-old Willmar lady was taken by ambulance to CentraCare — Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar after the car she was driving crashed with a semi shortly after 3 p.m. Friday on a snow- and ice-covered highway, in line with a report by the Minnesota State Patrol.
Dominga Ortiz Cortez, 19, was touring westbound on Minnesota Freeway 7 close to mile put up 118 east of Lake Lillian in East Lake Lillian Township when the Chevrolet Equinox she was driving collided with an eastbound Volvo semitractor pushed by Craig Allen Zacher, 56, of Langdon, North Dakota.
The semi went into the ditch because of the crash. Zacher was not injured within the crash. Cortez’s accidents had been described within the report as non-life-threatening.
Each drivers had been carrying seat belts and alcohol was not concerned, in line with the report.
Additionally responding to the crash had been the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Workplace and Lake Lillian Fireplace and Ambulance.
