COLLEGE FOOTBALL: Former Heritage Panther, Clemson DE Adam Kissayi Transfers to Minnesota – Space Coast Daily

(247SPORTS.COM) – Clemson first-year defensive lineman Adam Kissayi has entered the transfer portal, according to a report from 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz. Kissayi (Palm Bay, Fla.) has only been with the program since December. He was a part of the Tigers’ latest 2024 class. He was a three-star — the No. 29 EDGE in the cycle.
Kissayi originally committed to Minnesota on June 18, 2023. Then, after decommitting shortly after, he committed to Clemson just 26 days later on July 14, 2023. Now, Kissayi will return to Minnesota, according to a report from GopherIllustrated.
“Clemson has always been my dream school to play at,” Kissayi said to Clemson247 the day after his commitment.
“I don’t think I would want to play there if not for Dabo Swinney … the way he wears faith on his sleeve and has done things the right way. He only recruits out of high school and doesn’t use the transfer portal. He wants what he wants, that confidence he has, his way of recruiting and winning. And all the coaches are great.”

The common loon, Minnesota’s state bird, is more closely related to a penguin than a duck.
Despite loons predominantly living in the northern hemisphere and penguins mostly living in the southern hemisphere, researchers consider them to be genetic cousins. Taxonomic analyses placed them in an evolutionary cluster tracing back 40 million to 50 million years ago, along with herons and pelicans.
While loons and ducks share habitat on Minnesota lakes, they aren’t close relatives. Ducks are closer cousins to geese and swans.
After sharing a common ancestor, penguins and loons developed distinct characteristics. Loons can fly, but struggle to move on land; penguins can’t fly, but waddle on land. Penguins use flipper-like wings to swim; loons use webbed feet for underwater propulsion.
They have some similar features, however, including dense bones to help dive underwater and their tuxedo coloring.
