Minneapolis Police Cited for ‘Unsettling’ Pattern of Racial Discrimination
Town of Minneapolis and its police division exhibited a sample of racial discrimination over the previous decade, based on a report printed Wednesday by the state’s Division of Human Rights.
Division of Human Rights Commissioner Rebecca Lucero stated the sample was attributable to a tradition inside the Minneapolis Police Division that included “flawed coaching which emphasised a paramilitary method to policing,” an absence of accountability towards its officers, and leaders who didn’t act to handle the problems.
