Lake Michigan beach alerts issued Memorial Day Weekend

Swimming in some places of Lake Michigan will be not advised this Funeral Day Weekend.

The Country wide Weather Service issued various beach hazard statements plus small craft advisories about through Memorial Day because of to 25 knot gusts of wind, 2 to 8 base waves, rip currents, thick fog, and the opportunity involving showers and thunderstorms.

Michigan beaches south of Muskegon County aren’t incorporated as of Sunday mid-day. Muskegon County has some sort of moderate risk, while Oceana, and Mason county seashores have a great risk. Beaches throughout Manistee and Benzie areas get caught in the moderate type.

In the Upper Peninsula, Schoolcraft County has some sort of moderate risk.

The overall Lake Michigan shoreline throughout Wisconsin is considered high-risk.
