Elite 11 makes decision on Michigan football QB commit Jadyn Davis

Sometimes, a little patience is necessary — even when it feels dire.

The Elite 11 has been sending out invitations to the best of the best quarterbacks in the 2024 class. Despite appearing in a regional showcase affiliated with the annual signal-caller showdown, Michigan football quarterback commit Jadyn Davis was snubbed.

At least initially.

From the regional showcase, Ohio State QB commit Air Noland received an invite to compete in Los Angeles in June. That was surprising given Davis is the higher-ranked prospect and the commits from the rival schools went toe-to-toe. On Wednesday evening, the committee apparently changed course, extending an invitation to Michigan’s five-star.

Davis is listed by 247Sports as the No. 2 quarterback in the country, behind only Georgia commit Dylan Raiola. He’s ranked No. 26 overall per the 247Sports composite.

Michigan football’s current quarterback, J.J. McCarthy, earned an invite to the Elite 11 finals as a five-star quarterback and competed strongly, though not making it into the top group. All eyes were on the battle between McCarthy and Ohio State QB Kyle McCord.
