Ohio State fan base voted one of the most annoying in college football

This might be the least surprising news ever for Michigan football fans, but a survey recently revealed that the Ohio State fan base is considered to be one of the most annoying in all of college football. In fact, the Buckeye faithful came in at No. 2 on the list – second only to the Alabama fan base.
Of the more than 2,000 people across the country who were surveyed, 22 percent voted Alabama fans as the most annoying fan base in all of college football. Ohio State fans came in at No. 2, with 14 percent of voters indicating that Buckeye fans are the most annoying. Unfortunately for Michigan fans, the Maize and Blue fan base came in at No. 3 on the list with 9 percent of the votes.
Here’s a look at some of the most annoying fan bases according to the survey by Sports Handle:
1. Alabama – 22 percent
2. Ohio State – 14 percent
3. Michigan – 9 percent
4. Notre Dame – 8 percent
5. Texas – 7 percent
6. Florida/Miami (FL) – 5 percent
7. Florida State/USC/Penn State – 4 percent
8. Clemson/Georgia – 3 percent
9. Oklahoma/Auburn/Colorado – 2 percent
Of course, rivalries play a huge factor in determining how people vote in these surveys. For instance, Sports Handle indicated that the majority of Michigan fans voted Ohio State fans as the most annoying, while a good portion of Ohio State fans who participated pointed the finger right back at Michigan fans.
“Unsurprisingly, regional rivalries heavily influence these perceptions. Michigan fans overwhelmingly believe Ohio State has the most annoying fanbase, with 52% expressing this view. Conversely, Ohio fans consider Michigan supporters the most annoying, with 42% of them holding this opinion.
“On the other end of the spectrum, Auburn fans are seen as the least annoying (tied for the least annoying alongside Oklahoma and Colorado), with only 2% of respondents labeling them as such. However, this isn’t the case in Alabama, where 20% of fans find Auburn’s fan base the most annoying, showcasing the intense local rivalry.”
Not only do rivalries seem to play a factor in voting, but it would also appear that success plays a major role as well. Alabama has been one of the most dominant programs in all of college football over the last decade, while teams like Michigan and Ohio State have also claimed National Championships during the College Football Playoff era. Notre Dame hasn’t really won at a high level on the football field as of late, but that hasn’t stopped their fans from being elite at annoying the rest of us.
The bottom line is that science has finally proven what most of us already know to be true: Ohio State has one of the most annoying fan bases in all of college football.

MICHIGAN – A new list has revealed the two hardest-to-book campgrounds in the state of Michigan.
Last week, the Dyrt, a popular camping trip planning website, released their list of the 10 hardest to book campgrounds in the U.S. Campgrounds from seven states rounded out the top ten, including two from Michigan.
Both campgrounds are located within the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, which is about a six-hour drive from Metro Detroit.
Twelvemile Beach Campground is ranked as the second hardest-to-book campground in the U.S. The campground is fully booked 99.4% of the year, according to the Dyrt. The campground is in Grand Marais and holds 37 campsites for tents and small RVs.
“Centrally located a skipping stone’s throw from an immaculately sandy beach, Twelvemile’s well-maintained, accessible grounds offer easy access to the waters of Superior, plus landmarks like lighthouses, the otherworldly Chapel Rock and more,” the Dyrt wrote about the campground. “Add easy access to the charming Upper Peninsula towns of Grand Marais and Munising, and Twelvemile Beach is the ideal place to experience everything the Pictured Rocks have to offer from one easy vantage.”
Hurricane River Campground is ranked as the sixth hardest-to-book campground. It is fully booked 96.8% of the year, according to the Dyrt. This campground is also in Grand Marais, and it has 22 campsites for tents and small RVs.
“Like Twelvemile Beach, Hurricane River is located in the colorful heart of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, and with the sounds of the Hurricane River emptying into mighty Lake Superior, it’s one of the most peaceful destinations for campers in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula,” the Dyrt wrote.
According to the National Park Service, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore saw more than 910,000 total visitors in 2023. This is a 30% decrease from 2021, when the park saw its highest visitation of 1.3 million visitors.
Although these specific campgrounds are difficult to book, there are about ten campgrounds near Pictured Rocks, including two other National Parks campgrounds. If camping is not your style, Pictured Rocks offers many hotels.
Nevada Beach Campground topped off the list as the hardest-to-book campground in the United States. It is fully booked 99.4% of the year, and it features 54 campsites for tents and RVs. It is located on Lake Tahoe, near the Nevada-California border.

Michigan Imam accuses Israel of harvesting Palestinian organs, praises terrorist leaders in sermon
During a series of ceremonies commemorating the month of Muharram in the Shiite Hadi Institute Youth Community Center in Dearborn, Michigan, on July 7 and 8, 2024, Imam Usama Abdulghani accused the Israeli military of skinning Palestinians and harvesting their organs, seen in a video published by MEMRI (The Middle East Media Research Institute) on Thursday.
Abdulghani stated, “There are a group of people in this world who, for 270 days, are facing the worst kind of atrocities imaginable. Now, the Yazids and Shemirs of today would like you and I to believe history began on October 7. No, history did not begin on October 7. These are people who regularly describe their military incursions as ‘mowing the lawn,’ so when you see them skinning the Palestinians or harvesting their organs or butchering…so imagine a group of people surrounded for so long by these kinds [of people], the worst of Allah’s creation.”
The tenth day of Muharram is Ashura, the holiday commemorating the Battle of Karbala in 680 CE. On this day, according to Islamic history, Muhammad’s grandson Hussein and his family were killed by Muslim forces loyal to a different individual in pursuit of leadership.
The caliphate of Yazid ibn Mu’awiya ibn Abi Sufyan, known as Yazid I, was characterized by the death of Muhammad’s grandson and the start of the Second Fitna, a period of general disorder and civil war.
Abu al-Sabigha Shamir ibn Dhi al-Jawshan, known as Shemir, was the Arab military commander who killed Muhammad’s grandson.
Earlier in his speech, the Michigan Imam praised Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah for his piety and knowledge and quoted Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in support of the supreme leader.
Support for terrorist leaders
“When we are raising these children, who will be the soldiers of the Mahdi, we know what we are looking for…Inshallah, we are hoping to give our children a fighting chance to be in the army of the Mahdi,” Imam Abdulghani began. The Mahdi is a figure that appears at the end of the world to rid the world of injustice and evil. The Mahdi Army was an Iraqi Shia terrorist organization created by Muqtada al-Sadr in June 2003 and disbanded in 2008.
“So we want our children to be able to understand when they hear [Hezbollah leader] Hassan Nasrallah say that we are in Karbala, we are remembering Karbala, and we are in Karbala. We want our kids, the children, to get it, to understand,” Abdulghani stated.
“When somebody is at the level of piety and knowledge like Hassan Nasrallah when he says a statement like that, is he not aware of the hadiths that talk about the status of Hussein?” Abdulghani then rhetorically asked.
“Why does he say that Imam Khamenei is the ‘Hussein of the time?’ Why does the [Iranian Supreme] Leader say – may Allah protect him and keep him for us until he takes us to the Mahdi. Why does the Leader say that the war in Gaza isn’t a war between Gaza, Hamas, and Israel, this is Truth vs. Falsehood, all of faith vs. all of arrogance. Why would they say these things? Why do they connect the dots?” the Imam added.
