FedEx driver dies in collision with Amtrak train outside Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Missouri State Freeway Patrol says one individual died Tuesday morning in a crash involving an Amtrak practice and a FedEx supply truck.

In a tweet, the patrol says the collision occurred between the practice and truck north of Nice Hill, Missouri close to Hereford Highway and Good Highway.

A map of present Amtrak trains within the space exhibits Prepare No. 318, the Missouri River Runner/Lincoln Service, stopped within the space simply after 9:30 a.m. The practice left Kansas Metropolis’s Union Station at 8:40 a.m. with service to St. Louis and Chicago.

Sgt. Invoice Lowe with MSHP mentioned 35 passengers have been on board on the time of the crash. Not one of the passengers have been damage.

The motive force of the semi was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Lowe mentioned the practice remained on the tracks and no main roads have been blocked.
