DES MOINES, Iowa (WOWT) – A invoice in Iowa that might do away with gross sales taxes on sanitary merchandise and diapers is now headed to Gov. Kim Reynolds’ desk.

It’s a part of a nationwide motion to get rid of a tax on menstrual merchandise. It’s not the primary time efforts have been made.

But it surely has not made it to the governor’s desk prior to now.

Lawmakers hooked up it to a different invoice of tax cuts as an modification. It then handed unanimously within the Iowa Senate and Home.
