Pedestrian hit and killed along I-465 exit ramp in Lawrence

LAWERENCE, Ind. (WISH) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car on an exit ramp off I-465 in Lawrence Sunday evening, police say.

At 9 p.m. Sunday, police acquired reviews of a pedestrian struck whereas strolling on the I-465 exit ramp close to 56th avenue, based on Lawrence Police Chief Gary Woodruff.

The pedestrian died on the scene.

Police say that the motive force who hit the pedestrian was the one who known as 911 and stayed on the scene.

There wasn’t any indication of any impairment, however the driver was taken to an area hospital for a blood draw check required by state regulation.

The motive force didn’t see the pedestrian till the final minute and was unable to keep away from the collision, based on police.

The identification of the individual hit nor the motive force haven’t been launched. No additional data was instantly obtainable.
