Man dies in house fire on Indy’s northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — One man died in a Tuesday morning home hearth on the town’s northwest aspect, the Indianapolis Hearth Division mentioned.

At round 2 a.m. Tuesday, firefighters have been known as to a home hearth within the 2400 block of West 61st Avenue, simply off Michigan Street.

When hearth crews arrived on the scene, they discovered a single-story dwelling engulfed in flames.

Firefighters searched the home, discovered the person, and eliminated him by a window, IFD Battalion Chief Rita Reith mentioned in a press release Tuesday.

The person was pronounced lifeless on the scene. The Marion County Coroner’s Workplace will decide the person’s reason for demise and share his identify as soon as kinfolk have been notified.

The hearth was marked beneath management at round 3:10 a.m. and firefighters left the scene about 90 minutes later, in response to Reith.

No firefighters have been injured.

The reason for the fireplace was beneath investigation.
