Colts sign veteran McLeod to bolster secondary

The Indianapolis Colts have signed veteran free-agent security Rodney McLeod, it was introduced Thursday.

McLeod, who missed the primary three video games of the 2021 season whereas recovering from a left ACL tear suffered the earlier season, made pivotal interceptions within the closing two regular-season video games to assist raise the Philadelphia Eagles into the postseason.

He completed with 58 tackles, 2 interceptions and 4 passes defended in 13 video games.

An undrafted free agent out of the College of Virginia in 2012, McLeod performed his first three NFL seasons with the St. Louis Rams earlier than signing a five-year, $35 million free-agent take care of the Eagles in 2016. He began 75 video games in Philadelphia over the previous six seasons, together with 14 in 2017, when he matched a profession excessive with three interceptions through the Eagles’ championship run.
