Car chase ends in police shooting on northeast side, suspects in hospital

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Two suspects are within the hospital after main police on a chase that led to a shootout.

At 3 a.m. Sunday, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Division responded to a pictures fired incident in Broad Ripple. Officers discovered a girl was concerned in a disturbance with the daddy of her youngster, in line with police. The disturbance led to the person firing pictures wherein hit the lady’s car.

Police performed an investigation on the incident and have been within the technique of finding the person.

At 4 p.m., the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Division positioned the person on the BP fuel station at thirty eighth and Fall Creek. Police tried to apprehend the person however he then led them on a short car pursuit.

The pursuit led to a crash with one other car close to Kessler Boulevard E Drive and Binford Boulevard. The male suspect and one other man contained in the automobile acquired out and led police on a foot chase.

When police contacted the person, he fired pictures at three officers. The three officers shot again and hit the suspect.

The suspect was taken to Methodist hospital in vital situation.

The second man was not injured however was taken to Eskenazi hospital with complaints of chest ache.

Police recovered two weapons on the scene.

IMPD Public Data Lieutenant Shane Foley says there isn’t a ongoing menace to the neighborhood.

The girl was not injured through the early morning incident.
