Woman arrested after hitting police horse in Indiana County

INDIANA, Pa. — A girl was arrested after a dispute with Pennsylvania State Police.

Troopers say they have been known as to the intersection of South Avenue and Rice Avenue in Indiana as they have been patrolling for “IUPatty’s” for stories of a disorderly man.

A mounted patrol unit started taking the person into custody however stated 20-year-old Gabriela Rae Kerston started to intrude. State police stated she grabbed a trooper’s hand and was holding onto a backpack that the suspect they have been attempting to take into custody was carrying.

Troopers informed Kerston to strop and to maneuver away. Police tried to detain her however as they did she started punching one of many patrol horses in the proper neck and proper abdomen a number of occasions.

Kerston was taken to the Indiana County Jail.
