Person shot, killed near Lucas Oil Stadium, Indiana Convention Center on lockdown

INDIANAPOLIS — One man was shot and killed Monday evening after a taking pictures close to Lucas Oil Stadium, in keeping with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Division.

The taking pictures occurred round 9:45 p.m. close to South Road and Missouri Road. The person was discovered useless on the sidewalk.

IMPD emphasised the taking pictures didn’t occur inside Lucas Oil Stadium or the Indiana Conference Heart.

The Indiana Conference Heart is locked down and staff are being requested to shelter in place. SWAT is at the moment clearing the Conference Heart after there have been reviews the suspect entered that constructing.

As of 11 p.m., IMPD says a suspect isn’t in custody.

Police say it’s a “very energetic scene.”

At the moment, all streets round Lucas Oil Stadium are closed off as a result of investigation. This consists of South, Capital, Missouri & Maryland St.
