Unemployment rates down, jobs up in Central Illinois
(WEEK) – The Peoria and Bloomington metropolitan areas noticed decrease unemployment charges and a rise in jobs between April 2021 and April 2022, based on preliminary information launched by the Illinois Division of Employment Safety and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The non-seasonally adjusted unemployment price for the Peoria space modified -0.7 to five.4% in April. For Bloomington, that modified -0.8 to three.8%.
The whole variety of non-farm jobs within the Peoria space elevated by 3,900 to 166,200. For Bloomington, that improve was 4,800 for a complete of 94,200.
