CHICAGO (CBS) — The state hopes $74 million will maintain a part of the Illinois shoreline from washing away.

Chopper 2 received this have a look at the snow-covered sand at Illinois Seashore State Parkwhere rising water ranges have been eroding the shoreline.

The Division of Pure Sources is allocating $74 million to construct underwater reefs in addition to offshore ridges to guard the shoreline from waves and currents.
