Which Ohio State prospects are visiting for the Nebraska game?
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State will have another big recruiting weekend on deck this weekend, as a host of talented recruits will head to Columbus for the matchup against Nebraska.
The Buckeyes and Cornhuskers will square off at noon on FOX.
A list of the visiting recruits is below. As always, the rankings are per the 247Sports composite rankings:

- Certainly the most notable prospect visiting this weekend, five-star defensive lineman Jahkeem Stewart will make a trip to Columbus after a visit to Oregon on Oct. 12. One of the priority targets for Ohio State this cycle, Stewart will also be in town for the Michigan game in late November.
- Four-star defensive end Zahir Mathis will make his official visit this weekend, a notable visit for Ohio State’s defensive line room. In-state Penn State has been actively trying to flip Mathis’ pledge.

- Four-star running back Ja’Michael Jones could continue Ohio State’s new inroads in Alabama, if he chooses to commit to the Buckeyes one day. The talented back already has 16 offers.
- Four-star Corbyn Fordham will be on campus once again this weekend. He has 27 offers, but will make a return trip to Columbus. 247Sports reported his visit.
- Massive offensive tackle J.B. Shabazz will see Columbus for the first time this weekend. Ohio State is one of his 13 offers.
- Wide receiver Jaire Richburg, a teammate of Shabazz’s, will come with him to Columbus. He does not currently hold an Ohio State offer.
- Local running back product Favour Akih will make the quick trip to Columbus for the game against Nebraska. He does not have an Ohio State offer.

- Linebacker Quinton Cypher, a North Carolina product, will be in attendance this weekend. He has 14 scholarship offers, including one from Ohio State.
- Quarterback Trae Taylor will be in attendance for the Buckeyes this weekend. He already has 29 scholarship offers, and received one from Ohio State in mid-June.
- Five-star receiver Dakota Guerrant will be back on campus for Ohio State this weekend. He received an offer from the Buckeyes in June.
- Five-star offensive tackle Maxwell Hiller is sure to be a top priority for Ohio State in the 2027 cycle, as the talented offensive tackle already boasts offers from Penn State, Michigan and Ohio State.
- Linebacker Max Brown will come to Columbus this weekend as well. He has four reported offers, but the Buckeyes are one of them.

On Thursday evening, the Cleveland Guardians will play their first game of the 2026 regular season when they visit the Mariners in Seattle.
Before Opening Day, a franchise legend announced that he is calling it quits on his baseball career.

Roberto Perez (who last played in 2023) announced his retirement from baseball (h/t MLB Trade Rumors).
Perez wrote (via Instagram): “After much thought and reflection, I have decided to officially retire from baseball. This game has been a major part of my life and has shaped me both on and off the field. Through baseball, I’ve learned discipline, resilience, teamwork, and the importance of commitment. I am deeply grateful for every coach, teammate, trainer, and supporter who helped me along the way and believed in me throughout my journey. While this decision was not an easy one, I feel confident that it is the right time to step away and begin the next chapter of my life. I leave the game with nothing but respect and appreciation for everything it has given me. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this experience and for the opportunities, lessons, and memories that will stay with me forever. Sincerely, Roberto Bebo Perez🙏🏻⚾️”

Perez was picked in the 33rd round of the 2008 MLB Draft.
He spent the first eight seasons of his career with the Guardians.
In that span, the 37-year-old won two Gold Glove Awards (and helped the franchise reach the World Series).

Perez also spent the final two seasons of his ten-year career with the Pittsburgh Pirates and San Francisco Giants.
Over 516 career games, he batted .207 with 55 home runs, 193 RBI’s and 165 runs.
