Tens of thousands left without power after strong storms sweep across Northeast Ohio
Tornado Warnings have expired and many Severe Thunderstorm Warnings have expired, but tens of thousands are without power across Northeast Ohio after severe storms swept south and east across the state.

Tornado Warnings and Severe Thunderstorm Warnings have expired or been canceled for all counties in Northeast Ohio after severe storms quickly moved south and east from Lake Erie across the state, dumping rain, lighting up the sky with lightning, and causing damaging straight-line and tornadic high-speed winds.

Power outages
As of 1:15 a.m., a large number of power outages were reported by FirstEnergy, with over 223,000 customers affected across Ohio, including:

Lucas: 7,753
Mahoning: 6,295
Medina: 3,288
Ottawa: 2,082
Portage: 27,658
Summit: 25,472

Severe Thunderstorm Watch
Additionally, a Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for 17 Northeast Ohio Counties.
