Events in downtown Cleveland canceled Wednesday, Thursday due to poor air quality

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – City officials canceled all downtown Cleveland events scheduled for Wednesday due to the poor air quality conditions caused by the smoke from the Canada wildfires.

Wednesday’s scheduled events include:

  • Walnut Wednesday
  • Gigs on the Green
  • Take a Hike
  • Lakefront Leagues

Thursday’s scheduled events include:

  • Lunch in the Lane
  • Family Fun Night
  • Run Club

City officials said the events were canceled out of “safety for our staff, musicians, vendors, and entire community.”

This also includes the State of the County with Cuyahoga County Executive Chris Ronayne scheduled from 3 p.m.-5 p.m. at Jacobs Pavilion. County officials said the event has been rescheduled to Friday, June 30 at 1 p.m.
