Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb leads walk to raise awareness for lead poisoning awareness week
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – It’s ‘Nationwide Lead Poisoning Prevention’ Week.
Saturday morning, dozens gathered at Western Reserve Hearth Museum in Cleveland to boost consciousness about a problem that’s been plaguing the neighborhood for many years.
“Our lead paint disaster and our lead disaster is public enemy #1 in our metropolis,” mentioned Mayor Justin Bibb.
Mayor Bibb employed town’s first-ever “Lead Czar” and metropolis employees have gone door-to-door, inspecting greater than 170,000 properties.
