Browns Kevin Stefanski Reveals Plan For Nick Chubb Ahead Of Week 5
After spending the first four weeks of the season on the Cleveland Browns physically unable to perform list, star running back Nick Chubb will officially return to practice on Wednesday, according to head coach Kevin Stefanski.
The news comes as no surprise after multiple reports over the weekend mentioned that the team was likely to open up the 21-day practice window for Chubb. In doing so, that gives Cleveland three weeks to decide whether or not to activate the 28-year-old to the 53-man roster.
Stefanski wouldn’t commit to a timeline for Chubb to make his 2024 debut during that three game stretch. The Browns head man said he isn’t looking beyond Wednesday at this point. Reporting suggests that Chubb will not be ready to play against the Washington Commanders in Week 5.
A four-time Pro Bowler, Chubb has spent the last year-plus rehabbing from the grotesque knee injury he suffered in the team’s Week 2 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers last season. The ailment required multiple surgeries to reconstructed the ligaments in his left knee.
Chubb has been a PUP designation for the team since training camp opened up in late July. Now, his long-awaited return to the field is closer than ever.
Along with Chubb, fellow running back Nyheim Hines is also nearing a return to practice according to Stefanski. Cleveland’s head man expressed optimism that Hines could be back as soon as this week as well, but didn’t quite commit to that timeline.
Hines has been a PUP designation since training camp along with Chubb, stemming from a torn ACL suffered in a 2023 jet ski accident.

Miami Heat’s Kevin Love On Derrick Rose’s Retirement: ‘That Was Emotional For Me’
Miami Heat big man Kevin Love and Derrick Rose played together in the 2018 season.
The NBA community mourned the announcement of Rose’s retirement last week while Love is 36 years old, and also on the edge of retirement. Their relationship is tight.
The 35-year-old guard is now a motivational speaker. Although he was never able to win a title, Rose inspired many athletes of younger generations to achieve their goals. The guard handled adversity better than almost anyone else, from injuries to being traded multiple times.
Love can relate to struggling with injuries in his career. Some being more major than others, such as two broken hands and having to go through knee surgery.
Although they only played 12 games together in Cleveland, Love and Rose formed a bond through their similar battles. The two players were close with each other, and the former guard’s retirement hit the five-time All-Star hard, speaking about it at Heat’s media day.
“That was emotional for me,” Love said.
Rose was the youngest NBA player to win an MVP at 22 years and 7 months old. He played a fulfilling 16 years in the league, showing fans and athletes across the world that it doesn’t matter what you face, you should always work your hardest.
The retirement of Rose clearly impacted many people around the NBA, including Love.

Paige Bueckers’ glammed-up mirror selfies from final UConn media day
This past weekend, the UConn Huskies basketball superstar attended the Kansas City Chiefs game in Los Angeles, where the Chiefs defeated the Los Angeles Chargers in a 17-10 victory. But as Bueckers was on the other side of the country, this raised concerns among fans, who were worried if she’d make it to class on time today.
Nevertheless, Bueckers took to her Instagram Story this morning to reveal that she did, in fact, make it to class.
And while she was out and about in LA, she didn’t miss a beat. After the game, her bestie, Rae Burrell of the Los Angeles Sparks, shared a Snapchat Story featuring herself, and Kallie Rock hanging out and watching TV on a couch, while Bueckers was seated to the side, appearing to work on homework assignments.
Bueckers’ jet-setting lifestyle has become a running joke among fans. Earlier this month, she attended a New York Liberty game, which led to many jokes about her cutting class. But the following day, she confirmed her attended via her Instagram Story. As indicated by her latest story, Bueckers is in on the jokes, and even gets a good laugh out of them.
