Pedestrian hit, killed ID’d as 82-year-old woman, Oak Lawn police and Cook County officials say

OAK LAWN, In poor health. (WLS) — The pedestrian struck and killed by a automobile in south suburban Oak Garden on Tuesday afternoon has been recognized, officers mentioned.

The crash occurred at about 3:20 p.m. within the 4400-block of West ninety fifth Road, police mentioned. A girl driving a brown Toyota minivan turned from southbound Kostner Avenue onto westbound ninety fifth Road, the place she struck a pedestrian within the roadway.

The pedestrian, later recognized as 82-year-old Frankie Willis of Chicago, was pinned below the automobile, police and the Cook dinner County Medical Examiner’s Workplace mentioned. The Oak Garden Fireplace Division responded to the scene and transported Willis to Christ Advocate Medical Middle, the place she was pronounced useless.
