Chicago man accused of running on Midway tarmac charged with trespassing, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) — A person has been charged after Chicago police stated he was noticed operating across the tarmac and climbing on the wing of a airplane at Halfway airport Tuesday afternoon.

Chicago police stated Javier Martinez, 33, of Chicago was apprehended on Halfway property close to runway 31 about 4:45 p.m.

Police stated he hopped a barbed-wire fence close to fifty fifth Road and Lorel Avenue, the place his jacket and shirt grew to become snarled within the fence.
