Chicago crime: Man stabbed during fight near CTA Roosevelt Red Line stop, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) — Chicago police stated a person was stabbed throughout a bodily altercation with a bunch close to the CTA Roosevelt Crimson Line cease Friday night.

Police initially stated the stabbing occurred on the Crimson Line cease. Evaluation of surveillance footage confirmed the altercation started in mezzanine, however the stabbing didn’t happen in station or on CTA property, police stated Saturday.

Police stated the 30-year-old sufferer was within the mezzanine of the CTA station when he was concerned in a bodily struggle with 5 males. One of many males pulled out a knife and stabbed the sufferer within the chest.

The struggle then spilled onto the road, the place the group punched and kicked the sufferer on the bottom, police stated. They then jumped again on the Crimson Line.

Officers took the group into custody on the thirty fifth Road cease, CPD stated.

The sufferer was taken to Mercy Hospital in honest situation, police stated. Expenses are pending.
