Chicago repeat offender accused of punching women arrested again after years of violent crimes: report

An Illinois man with a history of random attacks against women has been arrested again after nearly a decade of repeated run-ins with the law, according to a report.
William Livingston, 32, was arrested in Chicago on Nov. 12 by members of the Chicago Police Department and U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force, according to WGN.
The arrest stems from an incident on June 12, in which police say Livingston allegedly struck two women, a 29-year-old and a 40-year-old, the outlet reported.
He reportedly faces two felony counts of aggravated battery in a public place.

However, the alleged assault is not Livingston’s first run-in with the law.
Livingston spent time behind bars after he allegedly punched Kathleen Miles, a mother of 11 children, while she was walking to a local train station with a co-worker on Aug. 19, according to WGN.
Surveillance video shows Livingston approaching Miles from behind before randomly punching her, knocking her out cold, the outlet reported.

“All I can think of is it takes so much anger to hit someone with so much force,” Miles told WGN. “There’s no way to be prepared for this.”
Livingston was later taken into custody and charged with two felony counts of alleged aggravated battery in a public place, one felony count of aggravated battery causing great bodily harm and one misdemeanor, according to the outlet.
At the time of the alleged attack, Livingston’s rap sheet included seven prior arrests over the course of the last decade with charges stemming from similar assaults, WGN reported.

In 2022, Livingston allegedly attacked DePaul University student Cami Blechschmidt as she was waiting for a Lyft ride after visiting a nearby Starbucks coffee shop, WGN reported.
“I felt a hand in my pocket, turned my head like that and there was a man directly in front of me, and he punched me directly in the face,” Blechschmidt told the outlet.
Livingston was reportedly apprehended by police roughly 15 minutes after the alleged assault, with Blechschmidt later learning that Livingston had allegedly attacked four women within the area in just 22 minutes.
He was ultimately charged with four felony counts of alleged aggravated battery, according to WGN.
“While we cannot comment on the specifics of prior incidents or pending cases, the CCSAO evaluates each case based on the available evidence and the applicable law,” the Cook County State Attorney’s Office said in a statement to Fox News Digital.
“When appropriate, prosecutors seek pre-trial detention for dangerous individuals who pose a danger to the community, as was done at the defendant’s first court appearance in August 2025, when our office filed a petition for detention that was granted by the court. Following an ongoing investigation, the defendant was recently charged in a new case related to the July 2025 incident and remains in custody at Cook County Jail.”

Prior to the incident in 2022, Livingston had been arrested twice in 2017 and was slapped with aggravated assault charges in 2015 and 2016, WGN reported.
“I think that he’s definitely a repeat offender,” Blechschmidt told WGN shortly after the alleged attack. “They’re not doing anything to keep him in.”
The Chicago Police Department and U.S. Marshals Service did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Defenseman Cam Reid commits to Michigan
“Defenseman C. Reid will spend next year at college in Michigan” is a sentence that has been said before. The first time, it was about incoming Michigan State star defenseman Chase Reid, a presumptive top-five pick in the upcoming NHL draft. Now, Michigan has secured a defenseman C. Reid of their own — Cam Reid of the Kitchener Rangers.
This is likely to confuse many people, so here are four quick ways to tell them apart. First, they are probably wearing different colors. Second, if one of them says “eh,” that’s Cam, as he’s from Aylmer, Ontario while Chase is from Chesterfield, Michigan. Third, Chase is two inches taller at six-foot-two. Fourth, they don’t look very similar. We will likely gain a fifth way after the draft as Chase is unlikely to fall to the Nashville Predators at tenth, which is who drafted Cam, but we can’t say for sure yet, so we’ll stick with four for now.

Bits aside, Reid committing to Michigan is a big get for the Wolverines — albeit, not an unexpected one. This move was rumored for months, and Scott Wheeler of The Athletic reported that Reid had been planning the move since December. Still, to actually land the commitment is significant for the Wolverines as it bolsters an already-strong blue line for Michigan.
As previously mentioned, Reid is from Aylmer and grew up playing for the Aylmer Flames. He’s six feet tall and 194 pounds and shoots left, much to the chagrin of anyone who wanted another right shot for Michigan (that d-core is almost entirely lefties). Reid is a two-way defenseman who ran the Kitchener Rangers power play and he’s known for his explosive skating. With him and defenseman Henry Mews on the back end, Michigan’s power play would have two stars manning the point.
As captain this season, Reid led the Rangers to the Memorial Cup, where they defeated Landon DuPont and the Everett Silvertips. And there is a very realistic chance that the two of them will be teammates together next year as Michigan is currently leading the pack in recruiting DuPont. He was reportedly on campus this week and will be touring Michigan State as well.
Even if DuPont doesn’t come, the Wolverines’ defensive core is absolutely stacked with Reid and Mews. Reid will be another key chip as Michigan tries again to get over the hump of the Frozen Four.

Lynx rally with defense to down Golden State for 11th win in 12 games
Minnesota’s defense was huge in the fourth quarter Friday. And on a rare offensively challenging night, Olivia Miles came up big late in other ways.
The Lynx limited Golden State to just 13 points in the final frame and beat the Valkyries 81-75 in San Francisco.
Minnesota has won 11 of its past 12 games.
Golden State finished 4 of 22 from the field in the final 10 minutes, including an abysmal 2 of 13 from deep. Golden State went 12 for 40 from distance overall, a significant departure from its 36.9% mark entering the game, which was good for second-best in the association.
The Valkyries led by 12 late in the first half, but were outscored 16-3 by the Lynx around halftime and 40-29 in the final 20 minutes.
“You don’t get better when it comes easy. This was definitely a challenge for us. It just helps us to understand how to play as a team, how to handle those different moments, how to stay together,” said Nia Coffey, who led the Lynx with a season-high 22 points. “Things aren’t always going to go our way, so I think we made some good strides.”
Courtney Williams added 21 points, a season-high 12 rebounds and five assists. Playing with much enjoyment, she also blew some kisses to the crowd and made heart gestures with her hands.
“The got an amazing fan base, and they fan base not that nice,” she said smiling. “But I love it, because who don’t want to play in this type of environment?”
Kayla McBride added 17 points.
“We needed Courtney Williams and Mac to compete, compete, compete,” coach Cheryl Reeve said. “Courtney’s first five minutes were forgettable and then she played the remainder of the game exactly as we needed her to do. She provided the compete for us. The rookie needed her.”
That first-year player would be Miles, who scored just seven points on 1 of 10 shooting, the first time in her young career not reaching double digits. But Miles recorded a three-point play early in the fourth quarter and drained a pair of free throws with 15.4 seconds left for a 79-75 lead.
The star point guard then blocked a 3-point try by Cecilia Zandalasini at the other end before Ola Kosu iced the game with two free throws.
“Us and them are the two best defensive teams in the league, so what she saw was actual defense,” Reeve said. “She saw physicality, she saw aggressive trapping. … Liv needed a game like this. This was a tremendous growth point for her when things don’t go your way, how do you show up? What she showed is that she’ll show up on the defensive end with kind of a game-sealing block, rebounding the basketball, closing out with free throws. She didn’t quit. … Maybe her numbers weren’t gaudy, but the impact she had on the game still was tremendous.”
The Lynx (13-3), who open a home-and-home series with Washington Sunday at Target Center, made 21 of 23 free throws, including eight of nine in the fourth quarter. The Valkyries (10-6) made just three of eight in the fourth quarter and 11 of 17 overall.
Down by 12 with under a minute to play before the half, McBride scored on a cutting layup, and after a Golden State miss, made two free throws. She then forced a Golden State turnover that led to Coffey getting fouled on a 3-pointer with 0.2 seconds left. With all three free throws falling, the Lynx were only down 46-41 after two quarters.
