Alabama-Tennessee free livestream online: How to watch NCAA Softball Knoxville Super Regional, TV, time
The Alabama Crimson Tide play against the Tennessee Volunteers in the NCAA Softball Knoxville Super Regional today at 3 p.m. CT on ESPN 2. Both of these teams hosted a regional in the 2024 NCAA Tournament and went undefeated, which has led them to battle against each other in the Knoxville Super Regional this weekend.
Tennessee is the third overall seed at the NCAA Softball Tournament this year, making them one of the favorites to reach the College World Series. The Volunteers have played incredibly well at the tournament thus far, as they did not concede a single run in their regional. While playing stellar defense, Tennessee showcased their offensive prowess by scoring 21 runs during their regional. So, the Volunteers will be a difficult team to beat.
Tennessee and Alabama met for a three game series during the regular season, which also highlighted Tennessee’s great defense. The Volunteers won two games of the series and only conceded one run during all three games combined. In order for Alabama to upset Tennessee in the Knoxville Super Regional, the Crimson Tide must keep every game low-scoring.
Although Tennessee is a difficult matchup for Alabama, the Crimson Tide have gotten better throughout the NCAA Softball Tournament this year. They started their regional with a 1-0 win over USC Upstate, but they became increasingly dominant in their final two games. Alabama defeated Southeastern Louisiana twice by a combined score of 18-5 to win their regional and advance in the tournament.

Former South Carolina edge Desmond Umeozulu has officially committed to Alabama, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
Umeozulu was nothing short of impactful on the Gamecocks’ defensive line in 2025. The playmaker recorded 30 total tackles and 1.5 sacks throughout his time at South Carolina, as Umeozulu will instantly add a major boost to the Tide’s defensive unit next season. Umeozulu will have one year of eligibility remaining following three seasons with the Gamecocks, as the talented edge is officially the second defensive lineman to sign with the Tide this weekend.
Umeozulu was ranked as the No. 22 edge and the No. 156 overall player from the class of 2023, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. A former four-star recruit, Umeozulu was a highly coveted prospect prior to signing with the Gamecocks, as the big man will almost certainly prove to be an excellent pick up for the Tide in the near future.
Alabama has signed a multitude of both offensive and defensive linemen this week, as the Tide continue adding key depth pieces at crucial positions.

Alabama transfer running back Richard Young has officially committed to Colorado, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
At 5’11”, 212 pounds, Young struggled to make a true impact on the Alabama offense throughout the 2025 campaign. The redshirt sophomore running back totaled 64 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries last season, as Young could quickly begin to thrive at Colorado with an increase in touches.
A Florida native, Young is a talented playmaker that found himself buried on the depth chart during his time with the Tide, and was ultimately unable to showcase his true potential in Tuscaloosa.
Young was ranked as the No. 4 running back and the No. 55 overall player from the class of 2023, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. A former four-star recruit, Young will almost certainly see a major increase in playing time at Colorado next season, and the running back could quickly shine as a result.
Alabama has lost a number of playmakers on both sides of the football in recent weeks, as Young has officially seen his time in Tuscaloosa come to an end.

Alabama basketball’s win over Oklahoma on Saturday, Jan. 17, made the postgame locker room chat a difficult one for Sooners coach Porter Moser.
The No. 18 Crimson Tide defeated OU, 83-81, for the program’s first victory at Lloyd Noble Center. But right around halftime, Alabama (13-5, 3-2 SEC) looked like it was headed for a 2-3 start to SEC play as Oklahoma led by 11 points, and even after UA went on a 10-0 run to even the scoreboard, the Sooners bounced back to still have a chance to win in the final seconds.
“We had a six-point lead and (Labaron) Philon had back-to-back threes. You’ve got to give him credit. One was off an offensive rebound. We had back-to-back shots we missed. So we had our opportunities,” Moser said.
He commended his team’s defensive effort in the first half and forcing Alabama to lose on the glass by a margin of six. Despite a lapse, Oklahoma still rallied back to get in front later in the second half and led the game for a total of 22 minutes and 14 seconds.
“But I told the guys, it was a hard postgame address because yes, they played their tails off. … That should be expected, but our defense … we rolled with seven guys today,” Moser said. “But finding ways to win these games is what we really − and we had opportunities. I thought Aiden Sherrell was a difference. Philon hit those back-to-back threes with like four minutes and some change. You get those misses. You get the one rebound in that kind of a tight game. “
Nate Oats wouldn’t have minded it, but Alabama didn’t need control for 40 minutes. Just a handful of late possessions that flipped Oklahoma’s opportunities into explanations.
