A highschool pupil in Washington state has been arrested after bringing a loaded gun to class, authorities mentioned Tuesday.

Employees at Skyview Excessive Faculty discovered the handgun contained in the jacket of the male pupil whereas he was on campus, the Clark County Sheriff’s Workplace mentioned. 

The juvenile, whom police didn’t identify, instructed faculty officers that he introduced the firearm to highschool for “self-defense,” based on the sheriff’s workplace.

Authorities described the firearm as a semi-automatic handgun that had rounds within the journal and an empty chamber.

The coed was arrested for illegal possession of a firearm and possession a harmful weapon on faculty floor. Police mentioned he was referred to talk with a chosen disaster responder after being taken to a juvenile detention middle.
