Washington Capitals’ Roster For First Preseason Game vs. Philadelphia Flyers: Jakub Vrana, Terik Parascak Set To Debut
The Washington Capitals announced the players who will dress for Sunday’s preseason opener against the Philadelphia Flyers at Capital One Arena (3 PM ET, Monumental Sports Network locally, NHL Network nationally).
2018 Stanley Cup Champion left-wing Jakub Vrana, who returned to D.C. on a PTO agreement in August, and 2024 first-round pick, right-wing Terik Parascak (17th overall), are among the most notable players slated to suit up for Washington’s matinee.
Teams are required to dress at least eight veterans per exhibition game. Sunday’s contest will be the first of six preseason games for Washington and only one against Philadelphia.
Defenseman Ethan Bear, who has not played since March 13 after entering the NHLPA Player Assistance Program, is also set to dress on Sunday.
Left-wings Andrew Cristall (40th overall pick in 2023 NHL Draft), Ethen Frank (AHL Hershey Bears leading goal-scorer last season), and Ivan Miroschnichenko (20th overall pick in 2022 NHL Draft) are among the notable prospects expected to play.
