WASHINGTON – A person is in custody after vandalizing the Washington Monument.
FOX 5’s Katie Barlow took footage of the harm Tuesday night time. There may be crimson paint splashed on the aspect of the monument with phrases painted subsequent to it.
U.S. Park Police issued an announcement, saying the realm across the monument shall be briefly closed. They mentioned conservators will work on the restoration course of and that the investigation is ongoing.
