WEST HAVEN — A vehicle crashed into an apartment building in West Haven Sunday morning after Weber County sheriff’s deputies say the driver lost control.

About 8 a.m., emergency crews were dispatched to reports of a vehicle that had crashed into a building at 3560 S. Midland Drive.

Weber County sheriff’s deputies soon learned the vehicle had veered off the road, through a fence and struck a lower-level apartment due to weather conditions, according to Sgt. Paul Babinsky. The driver of the vehicle was able to exit the vehicle, and the two residents of the apartment were unharmed, he said.

Crews stabilized the patio above the apartment so the residents can remain in the apartment, Babinsky said. Most of the damage to the building was cosmetic and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
