UTA bus driver hospitalized after ‘unprovoked’ attack at Millcreek Station

SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah — A Utah Transit Authority bus driver was hospitalized Tuesday after he was attacked whereas on a break on the Millcreek Station.

The incident occurred at roughly 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Carl Arky with UTA stated the bus driver was standing exterior the bus, taking a break, when he was attacked by somebody who wandered up from the road.

“It was an unprovoked assault principally.”

Arky stated the bus driver sustained “very vital accidents” and was transported to the hospital. Thankfully, he has since been launched.

“It doesn’t diminish the gravity of the state of affairs,” Arky stated. “It had nothing to do together with his work or his job or something like that. He simply occurred to be within the fallacious place on the fallacious time.”

Not lengthy after the assault, the South Salt Lake Police Division apprehended the suspect. The incident stays underneath investigation.
