Ski buses delayed due to conditions in Cottonwood canyons

COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, Utah — Hazardous street situations in each Little and Huge Cottonwood canyons have precipitated ski bus and carry opening delays early Sunday.

The Utah Transit Authority introduced it ski bus system was not operating till situations enhance. UTA mentioned routes could get underway transporting skiers and snowboarders up the canyons at round 11 a.m.

Visitors is transferring slowly up State Street 190 in Huge Cottonwood Canyon as UDOT snowplows work to clear roadways. Officers say no accidents have been reported within the canyons, however visitors is sluggish resulting from situations.

State Street 210 in Little Cottonwood Canyon will stay closed till roughly midday as crews carry out avalanche mitigation following Saturday evening’s storm.

A traction legislation is in impact for all autos heading up canyon roads.

Street situations and snow accumulation has led Brighton Ski Resort to delay some carry openings within the morning.
