Halloween 2023: This Utah house features 80 life-size skeletons celebrating ‘human everyday life’

A video posted to X has revealed how a home in Sandy, Utah, put up assu many as80 life-size skeletons as Halloween decoration. The skeletons mimic various human activities, “including posing for pictures, mowing the lawn or even lounging around and acting like some real lazy bones,” as per the ABC7 Eyewitness News post.

The video showsskeletons on the front of a Ford truck and climbing onto the roof of the house. While some are seen kissing in the garden, some push each other in a wheelchair. Some lounge on the lawn, ride a tandem bike and walk a skeleton dog.

Homeowner Amy Beecroft Pay told Storyful that she decorated her yard with skeletons for to celebrate “human everyday life” in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic. While Amy started with only 20 skeletons, there are now 80, having increased over the years.

One of the skeletons mowing the lawn accidentally ran over another skeleton, and bones are seen spread out around the mower. However, life goes on for the others, among the dead.

People in the comment section of the video on X are amazed at the unique idea, with one saying, “Fantastic! And love the dog/hydrant at the end.” “The best is the one with the lawn mower,” one user said, while another wrote, “Fantastic!” “So creative!” one user said. “That is awesome,” said another.

The video was also posted to Instagram, where one user wrote, “Very impressive but where do they store everything?” “So creative! Glad no one took them,” one user said, while another wrote, “These old bones got stories to tell”. “Where do you store all these the rest of the year?” one user asked. One noted, “Forget about the decorations, how big is that house? From the start of the driveway to the wall there’s 20 concrete squares for the sidewalk”.
