Darthard powers Utah Valley over Grand Canyon 76-74

PHOENIX — Le’Tre Darthard matched a season excessive with 25 factors as Utah Valley held off Grand Canyon 76-74 on Saturday evening.

Darthard added seven rebounds for the Wolverines (16-5, 7-1 Western Athletic Convention). Trey Woodbury pitched in with 19 factors, six rebounds and 6 assists. Tim Fuller scored 10.

“What a recreation from either side,” mentioned Utah Valley head coach Mark Madsen. “Grand Canyon had some good schemes with some nice execution and our guys performed so arduous. I really like the guts of our gamers. GCU hit six 3s tonight and of their final recreation they’d one man make seven, so it was good to see our guys lock in on defending the three.”

Rayshon Harrison completed with 18 factors and 7 rebounds to tempo the Antelopes (13-7, 4-3). Noah Baumann added 14 factors and eight boards, whereas Gabe McGlothan completed with 13 factors.
