(SEATTLE) – Throughout the final yr, two fossilized mammoth tusks have been snatched from Seattle-area companies.

KIRO 7 reported the latest theft, on April 6. In surveillance footage captured by downtown retailer Fossil & Stone, a thief is seen snatching a mammoth tusk.

After John Pohl, proprietor of the Tusk Constructing within the Eastlake neighborhood, noticed that video, he determined to share his story.

“My preliminary response is, why are they concentrating on tusk?” requested Pohl.

Because it seems, again in July, two thieves broke into the Tusk Constructing and stole a mammoth tusk Pohl had displayed.

“They’re irreplaceable. They inform a narrative,” mentioned Pohl.
