Police: Man arrested after allegedly raping woman at knifepoint in South Lake Union apartment

SEATTLE — A person was arrested early Sunday after allegedly raping a lady at knifepoint inside her residence in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood, in line with the Seattle Police Division.

The lady informed police the person, who she didn’t know, snuck into her safe residence constructing as one other individual was leaving on Saturday night.

The lady had the door to her residence propped open for air flow when the 30-year-old man walked inside.

In response to police, the person instantly flashed a knife earlier than raping the sufferer. He then stole her purse and ran off.

Police responded to the scene after the lady referred to as 911 to report the incident simply earlier than 7:30 p.m.

The lady was handled for her accidents at a close-by hospital. Officers introduced her again to her residence at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

Just a few hours later, simply earlier than 9 a.m., the lady referred to as 911 to report the person had returned to the residence constructing and was ready outdoors her door.

Officers rushed again to the lady’s constructing and arrested the person.

He was booked into the King County Jail for rape, theft, and housebreaking.
